School Spirit Photo Contest
In a time when many banks are raising and implementing fees, we recently awarded $650 to two Missouri schools with a free contest.
To enter Neighbors Credit Union’s School Spirit Photo Contest, entrants were asked to take a photo showing their school spirit and to submit it, along with how the funds would be used, to Neighbors Credit Union by August 31, 2011. All entries were placed on Neighbors Credit Union’s Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/NeighborsCreditUnion) for voting from September 1, 2011 until September 30, 2011. The photo with the most likes at 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2011, was deemed the winner.
With over 700 votes, Clearwater Elementary in Piedmont, Missouri won. However, the competition came down to the voting deadline, with Bayless Elementary falling a few votes short of winning. Due to such a close competition, Neighbors Credit Union gave Bayless Elementary a $150 donation to apply towards the purchase of a new kiln for their art classes. As the winners, Clearwater Elementary received a $500 donation to establish a Dr. Seuss Library.
