Credit Report Seminar
Eric Clark, Vice President of Lending, conducted this free seminar to help solve the mystery of credit reports. Topics discussed included what a credit report is, what information it includes, how credit reports are used, factors used to calculate your score and how to improve your score. The 130 members and guests who attended this annual seminar also had the opportunity to receive a free copy of their credit report and credit score - if requested - and to discuss their questions one-on-one with additional Neighbors credit report experts in attendance.
MFS Financial Management
Beth Hurst, the MEMBERS Financial Services Representative serving Neighbors Credit Union, conducted this free seminar on how to develop a sound financial strategy – one that covers all the financial bases from insurance to investing to estate conservation. This workshop covered a six step plan for financial success, three ingredients for a sound investment plan, steps to manage taxes, how to calculate retirement income needs and much more.
Home Buying Seminar
Scott Beeman, Neighbors Credit Union mortgage representative, conducted this free, educational home buying seminar at the Affton Community Center. This workshop covered the different programs available for first time homebuyers, how to get the best deal, and why credit scores are important and effect your loan. Representatives from a title, appraisal and realtor company were also on hand to answer questions.
The Return To Conservative Investing
Beth Hurst, the MEMBERS Financial Services Representative serving Neighbors Credit Union, conducted this free seminar. She provided information about the challenges of today’s economy and discussed the differences between CDs and annuities, the types annuities, the advantages of each type of annuities and how to decide which conservative investment is right for you.
Invest In Your Business Seminar
Over two dozen members and guests joined Scott Brothers, Commercial Business Development Officer at Neighbors Credit Union, at Affton Community Center for a free seminar. Topics discussed include credit history, types of collateral, cash flow, investing in your business and much more.
Auto Buyer Seminar
Angie Anderson from Credit Union Lending System (CULS) conducted an educational seminar at the John F. Kennedy Community Center. She taught atendees about what it takes to purchase a vehicle, how to research a trade-in, the best time to purchase a vehicle, how to get the most for your money, negotiating the deal, negotiating your financing, what to wear and much more!
